Swallowfield Art Group Exhibition

Swallowfield Art Group was formed in 2001, inspired by an art demonstration at the W.I.  The group originally met in the Garden Room in the vicarage grounds with a tutor, Julian, from the Art College.  When the vicarage was sold the Group moved to the Davies Room in Swallowfield Parish Hall and then to the hall in Riseley, now the Tea Rooms.  The group moved back to Swallowfield and continues to meet in either the Main Hall or the Davies room, or both, depending on the size of the group.

The Swallowfield Show is our annual opportunity to show our work, whether in the Art Exhibition tent which we share with the History Society, or as part of the Horticultural Show, where we enjoy the element of competition.  Do please come and see our show – we have paintings for sale at very reasonable prices and also run a fun competition – vote for your favourite picture in the Exhibition for your chance to win a £10 voucher.

We meet in Swallowfield Parish Hall from 2-4pm on Mondays.  Our tutor is Elizabeth Baldin; we have a variety of topics and media each term so that there is something to suit everyone; there is also the opportunity to join us untutored and do your own thing.  For further details, or if you would like to join the waiting list, please contact via the number in the Parish News or come and talk to us at the show.
