Rachel Haywood

Rachel is a pan (steel drum) player of over thirty years standing – with an eclectic career she is equally at home at Carnival or on the concert platform. Entering the steel band world as a founder member of The Radcliffe Rollers, Rachel has been making waves since winning the UK Soloist Championships in 1989 and holds a Doctorate in Music from City University London

Her career highlights include playing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Barbados, the Nostalgia Steel Band as part of the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony and recently as one of the key steel pan players on the soundtrack of Disney’s 2023 live-action remake of THE LITTLE MERMAID performing the iconic riff in “Under the Sea”.  Nautical but nice!

Michael Burns-Peake

20 year old self-taught singer songwriter Michael Burns-Peake has been releasing music since the age of 16 and his debut EP amassed over a quarter of a million Streams across Spotify and Apple Music.

Coming off the back of two 2023 releases Michael has adapted his sound and has grown in both confidence and ability.

With more releases coming in the near future Michael hopes to build his audience even further and in an August filled with festival bookings, Michael is delighted to be playing at the Swallowfield Show once again.

The Smartphones Saxophone Band

So many saxophones! The Smartphones Saxophone Band under the expert direction of Louise Rayner, play everything from Mozart to the Muppets and from Baroque to the Beatles. Regular visitors to The Meadows, surprised shoppers usually end up dancing with their trolleys! Guaranteed to give that feel good feeling you are warmly invited to join in the dancing, singing and conducting!

Noa Ransby-Craigs

Noa is a thirteen year old singer song-writer from Berkshire who has been writing and performing since she was nine. She plays regularly in the local area including at the Hurst Jubilee last year and she has also performed in Egypt and Greece.

Noa will be singing songs from some of her favourite artists such as Freya Ridings, George Ezra and Kate Nash as well as some of her own original material.

Fred In the Shed

 

Fred In The Shed is an award winning family entertainer and Member of The Magic Circle. He has held his own Theatre Show.  “An Evening of Magic” at The Mill at Sonning since 2013. His family comedy and magic show will be sure to have everyone howling with laughter and stunned at his magic.

 

No Strings Attached Woodley Ukele Group

Formed in 2016 the group now have over 100 members. Their youngest player is just 10 and the oldest is 93 (she started playing when she was 90!) All pretty casual with a focus on having fun, they will be playing a wide selection of songs starting from as early as the 1920’s through to plenty of 1960’s and 1970’s classics and some current chart hits. They will have a go at anything at least once!

OOMPAH!

Oompah! An exciting new band featuring woodwind, brass and other instruments typical of a Bavarian oompah band to give the authentic sound of Oktoberfest music! Wearing traditional costumes, band members perform lively dance music, marches and popular sing-along and drinking songs to create that special good time party atmosphere.

The Rockin’ Rogers

The Rockin’ Rogers fantastic line-up includes vocals, bass, percussion, harmonica and two guitars! Their two sets feature classic rock and roll hits by artists such as Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Dion, and many more. It is hard to remain static when these guys strike it up. Come and see it, hear it and believe it!
