Village Green Entertainment

With an eclectic mix of entertainment for all the family, a stop at the Village Green is a must. Whether it’s to take a few minute to get a quick drink and a bite eat as you recharge or for a few hours chilling out whilst listening to some great acts, the Village Green is a place to be.

Michael Burns-Peake:-  a self-taught 21 year old singer songwriter returns to play the Village Green for a 3rd time. Having previously wowed audiences at the show with a mixture of well know covers and his own soulful tracks such as “London” & “Miss You”, his sets are something you don’t want to miss! ( he has now amassed a total of nearly 1/2 a million plays on Spotify), interested hearing what he sounds like, follow this link to find out.

The Rockin’ Rogers:- had lots of feet tapping all around the Village Green last year and even a couple of dancers on the stage! This year they will be playing some of the best fifties and sixties rock’n’roll classics. Their fantastic line-up includes vocals, bass, percussion, harmonica, guitar and piano. It is hard to remain static when these guys strike up. Come and see it, hear it and believe it!

The Smartphones Saxophone Band:- So many saxophones! The Smartphones Saxophone Band under the expert direction of Louise Rayner, play everything from Mozart to the Muppets and from Baroque to the Beatles. Regular visitors to The Meadows, surprised shoppers usually end up dancing with their trolleys! Guaranteed to give that feel good feeling you are warmly invited to join in the dancing, singing and conducting!

Luke Bates:- is an 18 year old singer/songwriter from Reading who produces indie rock/pop songs from his bedroom. With songs such as ‘Break You’, ‘Set Me On Fire’ and ‘Death Party’ the songwriter tells his story from reckless teenage party culture and the heartbreak that comes with it, to the optimistic energy that growing up and moving on brings.

 

The Fleet Rock Orchestra:- Formed in January 2023 this multi-instrumentalist group brings together a large number of musicians for weekly jam sessions and occasional local performances, giving players of all ages a reason to pick up their instrument and have fun playing some of their favourite hits. With 4 clarinets, 3 guitars, 3 flutes, 3 saxophones, 3 singers, 1 cello, 1 bass and a drummer their repertoire includes popular rock and pop songs with a ‘big-band’ feel and sound. Everything from Frank Sinatra to Elvis Presley, David Bowie to Adele, all played as you have never heard them before!
